Remember the joy!

Remember the calm and joy many of you write about after experiencing a guided Forest Therapy walk. It's wonderful to read your feedback about the changes.

“ I feel more calm, my thoughts are slower and my head is clearer. My body feels grounded and safe”

"I feel very different now, more grounded, relaxed, appreciative of nature and filled with gratitude.”

‘"I feel calmer, more at peace, more relaxed, more connected to the environment and others”.

“I feel replenished and relaxed. I felt I could ‘See’ where I was more clearly and mindfully and I have a greater appreciation of the different elements of the natural environment. - the earth, the animals. The plants, the wind, the sunshine, the sky and water. Thank you Julie!”

What is Forest Therapy?

Shinrin Yoku also known as Forest Bathing originated in Japan in the 1980’s in response to the epidemic of stress and its serious physiological and psychological consequences. The Japanese found that immersion in the forest was an effective health practice that also connected people more deeply with the beautiful forests. Ongoing research has shown that trees and plants give off volatile oils called phytoncides that have physiological and psychological benefits for us.

Forest Therapy boosts our immune system, reduces our stress and helps us feel calm amidst the everyday stresses of modern life.
